When you’re young you get the opportunity to chances that come less frequently as you age. Things like going to Japan or Russia for a couple months, or doing a road trip to New York City to celebrate New Year’s Eve in Times Square. For a number of reasons, these kinds of things get harder to do when you have to work, take care of kids, pay bills, etc.
In 1975 a photographer had the opportunity to ride on a train from Louisville to San Francisco. Not just any train: this was the Ringling Brothers Circus train. And he was invited to ride in the clown car.
Did he take it?
The title sorta gives it away.
One of our seminary professors, Bob Lowery, has published a book on Revelation: Revelation’s Rhapsody: Listening to the Lyrics of the Lamb. Accordingly, he has a web site to promote and discuss the book. Check it out, visit it often, tell your friends.

We made our semi-annual pilgrimage to Oklahoma to visit Suzanne’s people last week. We stayed with her mom and step-dad in Bartlesville, located an hour-ish north of Tulsa. We saw uncles, cousins, grandparents, friends–all those folks you need to see when make such a trip.
I’ve posted some photos over in the smugmug gallery. If she gets some time, Suzanne may throw up a post detailing our Oklahoma doings. Until then, enjoy the pictures.
